After learning about films and magazines in the first quarter, the decision to decide between them was challenging. I decided that a magazine would be a better fit for me because I rather work independently than with a group. Furthermore, I had more experience in creating magazines and taking photographs than filming. Based on my project, I had more ideas for the magazine than for the film. Additionally, I would be able to demonstrate my skills of writing and photography with the magazine project. The topic of my magazine will be on mangroves in Sarasota, discussing the importance of them in the environment and to the community. I have knowledge about this topic due to my environmental and marine classes. My target audience is the local community of Florida, or any environmental activist or organization.
