National Wildlife has gathered 6 million loyal subscribers in the 56 years of publication.
Audience
Although National Wildlife’s audience is composed of 72.3 % female, they have similar age, household income and education demographics as my magazine. The average age is 62.5, while the average household income is $132,561. Most of the audience have an advanced degree at 46.6%. The audience are affluent, educated, and have a passion for the environment.
Events
Image result for national wildlife federation conventionNational Wildlife holds multiple fundraiser events throughout the year. These events are held across the United States and are joined by other federal partners. These events allow for the promotion of the foundation and their causes. This is a good marketing technique because it exposes them to more customers interested in wildlife conservation. Some events may include volunteer clean-up of hiking trails and beaches, broadening National Wildlife’s potential customer range.
Social Media
In total, the magazine has 2,684,400 social media followers. National Wildlife has an Instagram account which post multiple high-quality photos each day. These photos give the account an aesthetically pleasing layout and attracts thousands of follows to the account. The photo post often has links to the official National Wildlife Foundation website. By using Instagram, the magazine can reach a more reliable younger audience. Another social media account used is Twitter, which updates their subscribers on new magazines and events held by the foundation. The twitter account also has a direct link to their website.
Product
My magazine will take advantage of the social media platform, such as Instagram and Twitter. I may also consider holding a few events promoting my magazine main cause and raise donations for the magazine. I would build a website that links to my social media sites. This will allow for my website and social media accounts to be interconnected and easy to access by followers.

Digital Distribution Plan

After researching both traditional distribution methods and digital distribution methods, I have decided that both are necessary for the success of my magazine. By creating a mobile app, website, and incorporating social media, I can effectively distribute my magazine to my target audience. For traditional distribution methods, I will hire a local distribution company to help distribute print copies of Florida’s Terrain. The distribution agency will deliver to local stores, waiting rooms, and supermarkets. Allowing my print copy to be placed on shelves of supermarkets increases their likelihood of being seen by a shopping customer. A distribution company such as,  South Florida Premium Distribution , will used to deliver the issues across Florida. For digital distribution methods, I would create an app called “Florida’s Terrain”, which would include separate sections of varying topics on wildlife for a broad age group. The app will notify users about updated articles and issu...

Traditional Distribution Research

When distributing my product, the use of traditional distribution model allows for an increase circulation and sales of my magazines print copies. The traditional model of distribution illustrates the relationship between the manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer and the consumer. The manufacturer mass-produces the printed copies of your magazines so that they are ready to be distributed to the costumers. Financial cost of packaging, mailing and shipping is handled at this stage of the distribution model. The wholesaler and retailer determine where to distribute the printed copies, places such as supermarkets, waiting rooms, and storefronts are considered prime places to sell printed magazine copies. The magazine company can also offer weekly subscriptions to costumers, which allows for printed copies to be delivered to their front door or mailbox. These outlets boost print magazine sales; however, the magazine company needs to consider hiring a distribution company to help manage and...
